Anti-apartheid Revolutionary Remembered, Nelson Mandela Dies at Age 95

South Africa's first black President, Nelson Mandela, has died at the age of 95 after having been hospitalized with a lung infection. It has been the news that the country, and indeed the world, has been dreading; Mandela became a global icon for his struggle against apartheid, the system of racist white rule which collapsed following the 1994 elections when he was voted in as president.
